Is There a Natural Suicide Rate for a Society?
Yang B~~Lester D
It was argued that no society could be free of suicide. To test this, 27 social variables related to suicide were set to zero in multiple regression equations. However, analyses indicated that even if socioeconomic conditions were made ideal from the point of view of producing a low suicide rate, the suicide rate of American states would still be positive & nonzero.
