This article discusses the impact of suicide prevention programs in schools. The author is concerned that the connection found between the publicity of suicides & increased rates of suicide might extend to school suicide programs. He suggests that suicide awareness programs should be included within a broader psychological health program so that suicide is not highlighted as a special problem. He also discusses possible reasons for rising youth suicide rates. (VM)
