This study examines whether regular treatment with tranquilizing & hypnotic drugs among 30,344 twins in Seden 15-47 years old was associated with poor health. The authors found a substantial relationship between psychopathology, somatic health problems, suicide, & reported treatment with psychoacitve medication. The authors also found women were almost twice as likely to report medication use. They assert the reasons for this result require further study. (VM)
