Petronis K R~~Samuels J F~~et al
This study examines the connection between the personal & behavioral attributes of 13,673 subjects, & the risk of a suicide attempt during a 1 to 2 year period. Depression, alcoholism, being separated or divorced, or being a user of cocaine was associated with an increased risk of making a suicide attempt. Illicit use of marijuana, sedative-hypnotics or sympathomimetic stimulants was not associated with an increased risk. (VM)
