This article discusses the systems thinking clinical model used at the Eastfield Children’s Center in California. The center treats seriously disturbed children & adolescents within the context of their families, communities & cultural systems. The author believes treating these children often is only effective if the family is treated as well, since so many come from dysfunctional families. He outlines specific strategies & provides 2 case examples. (VM)
