Abstract
Cause-Specific Mortality Among Physicians With Differing Life-Styles
Ullmann D~~Phillips R L~~et al
This study compared mortality among Loma Linda University (LLU) & University of Southern California (USC) medical school graduates & white American men. Medical graduates had lower mortality rates for all causes, although deaths due to cerebrovascular disease, airplane accidents & suicides were elevated for USC. The mortality rate of LLU was lower than USC, which the authors attribute to the life style of the many Seventh-day Adventists among LLU graduates. (VM)
