Report to the Regular Board Meeting: Proposed Policy 3,010 – Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention

This describes the Calgary Board of Education policies toward suicide prevention, intervention & postvention. The program includes education in coping & problem-solving strategies, as well as specific information about suicide. As well, special resource positions were created, for example, at least 1 staff member per school must take a training program, & is then the designated intervenor. Postvention procedures are also detailed. (VM)
