This letter to the editor describes a rare case of adolescent couple suicide. The author asserts that this type of suicidal behavior is not as infrequent as is believed, & is underreported. A reply is also included, in which the authors agree with the assertion that couple suicide may be underreported, & discuss the similar dynamics found in many couple suicides (e.g. social isolation, histories of emotional disturbance).
