This article begins with a general overview of research on unemployment & suicide, as well as research on the relation between occupational status & suicide, & the high risk for suicide in certain occupations. The author then details the relationship between economics & suicide for women. The author discusses female professionals, & the impact of employment among women on female suicidal behavior. (VM)
