This article describes 2 cases of fatal poisoning by zinc phosphide, a easily available rat poison. Both individuals had a severe degree of hypoglycaemia, & died of toxic myocarditis. The medical features of each case are presented, as well as the common symptoms & the biological results of zinc phosphide poisoning. (VM)
