Abstract
Preventing Teenage Suicide
This article describes a questionnaire being developed by researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St.Louis. The questionnaire is based on a study which identified the risk factors of 3,000 inner-city adolescents who came to free clinics for medical care. 1 of 12 subjects reported that they had attempted suicide. Some of the primary risk factors the researchers found – such as behavior problems like stealing, lying, or running away – are detailed. (VM)
