This study finds that homicide & suicide rates are not related to religious variables. However, the author concedes this may be inaccurate, since the measure used was religious book production, & this may not reflect religious behaviors as a whole in a nation. Suicide rates were found to be related to gender-equality in the labour force, but were not related to GNP per capita, the percent Catholic, or the divorce rate. (VM)
