Crisis Intervention and Prevention as a Campus-as-Community Mental Health Model

Describes a crisis intervention approach that can enable the counselor to intervene actively during a suicidal crisis. Key components that address the needs of the community, the administration & the counseling centre staff, as well as elements of crisis intervention are discussed. 2 case examples illustrate crisis intervention for a student with suicidal feelings & depression, & postvention for those affected by a suicide.
