Cognitive Style and Pleasant Activities Among Female Adolescent Suicide Attempters

The cognitive style & pleasant activities of 77 suicide attempting female minority adolescents, & 2 groups of nonsuicidal female minority adolescents, 39 who were psychiatrically disturbed & 23 who were undisturbed, were compared. Suicide attempters reported significantly fewer alternatives for solving interpersonal problems, & were mor focused on problems. All 3 groups reported similar satisfaction in relaxed social activities. (VM)
