This letter to the editor details injury deaths in New York City, & New York State. Statistics are broken down into unintentional (motor vehicle, falls, etc.), & intentional (homicide & suicide) deaths. The leading cause of injury death in the state is motor vehicle accidents, while in New York City the leading cause is homicide. Leading causes of injury death by sex, age, & region are also provided. (VM)
