This study examined the Risk-Rescue Rating Scale with 109 suicide attempters to determine how well it assessed lethality & intent. The authors found that the scale did not provide significantly different results for adolescents who had used more lethal methods to attempt suicide than others. They conclude the scale is of limited use with adolescents, & they suggest alternative methods for measuring lethality & intent. (VM)
