This study attempts to determine the prognosis of people who attempted suicide. The authors completed a long-term follow-up, & studied whether a clinical interview can find variables which predict suicide. The authors detail: mortality, including suicides, during the follow-up period; the characteristics of those who committed suicide; the predictive value of the clinical degree of intent to die; & the affect of psychiatric after-care during the follow-up period.
