The author of this study found that panic disorder, like major depression, is associated with impairments in quality of life. Those with panic disorder were found to see their physical & emotional health as poor. They also had an increased risk of medication, emergency room use, & suicide attempts. The author asserts these impairments need to be considered in treatment. (VM)
