This article describes the suicidal death of a nursing student, & how students & teachers reacted to his death. The School of Nursing requested crisis intervention assistance from the psychiatric faculty. General information about suicide was provided, & common reactions to suicide deaths were described. Students & faculty were encouraged to discuss their feelings openly. The author concludes with a number of recommendations for postvention. (VM)
