A Factor Analysis of six Commonly Used Instruments Associated With Suicide Using College Students

This study investigates whether 6 rating scales overlap. The authors tested undergraduates using the Beck Hopelssness Scale, Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale, Scale for Suicide Ideation, Reasons for Living Inventory, Suicide Probability Scale, & the instruments accounts for unique variance in assessing suicidality. They recommend that a suicide screening battery include all 6 tests. (VM)
