This paper studies the methods of suicide employed in the Federal Republic of Germany over the period 1979 to 1987. The authors studied percentage distributions of the different methods: self-poisoning, domestic gas, non-domestic gas, hanging, drowning, firearms, knives, jumping from heights & other methods. The incidence of individual suicide methods throughout this period are also discussed. (18 refs.)
