This article discusses the effectiveness of school suicide prevention programs. The author asserts these programs should not be concerned primarily with disseminating information,but instead should focus on increasing self-efficacy, decreasing sources of distress, improving interpersonal relationships, & changing normative values toward those of behaviorial change. He also asserts more comprehensive program evaluation is required. (VM)
