This article outlines poet Dorothy Parker’s life, including 2 suicide attempts, & her eventual death due to a heart attack. The author also compares Parker’s life to 2 famous women who committed suicide: Virginia Woolf & Marilyn Monroe. He concludes Woolf & Monroe were both psychiatrically disturbed, whereas Parker was often despairing & unhappy, but did not have any mental illnesses.
