This is a case of a young man who committed suicide. The article provides the childhood, adolescent & university history of Christopher Jens. Jens was diagnosed as schizophrenic & schizoaffective, & the author asserts he was psychotic as well. The author concludes that the actions of Jens’ mother led to his morbid self absorption, & his development of 2 roles, that of therapist (superior) & patient (inferior). (VM)
