This article begins by providing background information in the regulation of serotonin (5-HT) receptors. The authors then review the study results on the correlation between completed suicide & 5-HT. They conclude that there is a decrease in the levels of 5-HT of 5-HIAAt in suicide victims, but the lack of information about how 5-HT-2 & other serotonin receptors are regulated hinders any explanation of the underlying mechanisms behind these findings.
