The Seasonal Variation in Suicide in Urban and Rural Areas: Comment on Micciolo, Zimmerman-Tansella, Williams and Tansella

Tested the finding of Micciolo et al (see PA Vol 76: 19307) that the seasonal variation for suicide in Italy was stronger in urban than rural areas by examining data on the 26,869 suicides in the US in 1980. Results show a peak in spring, with a significant monthly variation in both urban & rural areas. (1 ref.)
