This study presents information on 176 twins pairs, in which one or both twins committed suicide. Differences between identical & fraternal twins, data about familial treatment for psychiatric disorders, & 11 short case histories of twin pairs are presented. The authors conclude that there may be a genetic predisposition for psychiatric disorders associated with suicide; however, it is still uncertain if there is an independent genetic component for suicide.
