A case of death by arsenic poisoning of a 62-year old man ispresented. The wife of the decedent was charged with murder by arsenic piosoning. The defense alleged that the decedent had committed suicide. The judge awarded a verdict of not guilty. Provides a detailed description of the symptoms & effects of arsenic poisoning, as well as the medical findings ofthis particular case. They conclude that the poisoning was chronic, not acute, & therefore does not fit the usual parameters for suicide.
