Rennert M~~Hagoel L~~et al
Physicians are at risk for stress, drug & alcohol abuse, & suicide. This article presents a study of self-rated health & health-seeking behavior of Israeli family physicians & their families. The authors found that 2/3 of the physicians do not have a regular family physician. 88% of the physicians reported stress owing to their work. Various alternatives are suggested for changing family physicians’ behavior, as well as changes in the primary health care system. (VM)
