The authors, in a previous study, had done an analysis of routinely collected suicide statistics that showed a sharp increase in the suicide rate among young people in Leicestershire. In this article, the authors extend their analysis to cover England & Wales & to investigate age specific & sex specific trends in greater depth. (5 refs.)
