Two letters to the editor are presented. Both discuss a study by Sloan et al which compared guns, gun regulation, & homicide rates in Vancouver & Seattle. Sloan et al claim that the United States’ lower gun control & youth suicide are related. The first letter refutes this asssertion while the second letter, written by Sloan & Rivara, defends the finding presented in their study. (VM)
