Presents a study of 109 Swedish women who committed suicide. The author uses psychological autopsy methods & research diagnostic criteria. He found that a majority of the women had depressive disorders, had attempted suicide, had been psychiatric inpatients, had been treated unsuccessfully with antidepressant drugs, & had increasing number of life events occur in the 6 months before their deaths.
