This article contains the statistical findings of whether or not on suicide might represent attitudes of the people in each respective state. Eight different aspects of criminal penalties and legal statutes were correlated with state suicide rates. None of the findings were significant, suggesting that state laws on suicide do not appear to be related to suicide rates, and do not likelyreflect societal acceptance of suicide as a social behavior.
