This proceeding briefly reports on a study of self-poisoning patients in Trondheim, Norway from 1978-87. The author describes epidemiological & clinical data, social & psychiatric aspects, as well as the results of a 5 year follow-up study. She also found that a lack of resources had resulted in both earlier discharges than were appropriate, & inadequate care after discharge. (VM)
