This book presents 6 case studies of suicide prevention & intervention issues. Case 1 deals with the effectiveness of environmental interventions at a suicide landmark. Case 2 presents a case of contagion while Case 3 deals with a crisis call to a volunteer-staffed crisis intervention service. Case 4 is on an unusual case of a suicide pact. Case 5 poses a procedural question – acquiescence to a suicidal patient’s demand to have access to a lethal weapon. The last case discusses malpractice.
