This viewpoint is an excerpt from a teen suicide prevention program developed for schools by the author. Ross believes that many students face the problem of suicide either because they are suicidal or because a friend who is suicidal comes to them for help. She concludes that education can eliminate the secrecy surrounding suicide, correct the distorted images many people have of suicide, & help students find out where they can go for help.
