Presents 2 adolescent cases (a male with dependent attachment to adolescent culture & a suicidal girl) to show that underlying infantile problems emerge with great intensity in the analysis of adolescents. As in adult or child analytic work, adolescents show notable features manifest in the additional force with which they try to sweep their object along, with both their positive & destructive impulses or defensive ideologies & fears being swept along by the analyst. 0 refs.
