This article is a clinical account of female alcoholics who have struggled with suicidal ideation & attempts; with death and with dying. The article concludes with the presentation of one patient’s ars moriendi (the art of dying). Treatment techniques & rationale are tendered regarding the ars moriendi. 9 refs.
