This research was prompted by the large difference found between rates of suicide attempts officially supplied in Spain & those reported in other European countries. Suicide attempts registered in the casualty book of all general & psychiatric facilities in Valencia (Spain) were recorded during 1982. Rates, age, method & disposal did not significantly depart from previous European reports. 12 refs.
