Psychiatric complications associated with the epileptic patient have often been referred to in the literature; however, psyhciatric sequelae occurring in the family of an epileptic patient have received far less attention. In this case study, the author presents such an example & suggests that neuropsychiatrists treating the epileptic patient be aware that significant psychiatric sequelae may exist in the family. 8 refs.
