This study analyzed the effect of parent’s attitudes toward suicide on adolescent suicidal behaviour, as well as other vaiables such as the loss of a parent, family conflict, substance abuse, & physical or sexual abuse. The author found that the best predictors of adolescent suicides are hopelessness, suicidal ideation, & a suicide sanctioning perspective within the family. (VM)
