This article describes a videotape documentary, called Teenagers Talk About Suicide, in which 9 teens discuss their feelings & attitudes toward suicide with a psychiatrist. The video discloses many negative self-images among the teens. The author discusses the social structures which have affected teens & caused self-critical thoughts. The author traces many of these feelings back to mistreatment as a child by parents. (VM)
