This pilot study examines the effects of postvention programming on the alleviation of psychological/physical symptoms among men & women. Postvention programming is treatment for suicide survivors to help deal with grief. 13 survivors were surveyed. Physical symptoms, hopelessness, & negative affect mood were alleviated after intervention. Physical & psychological well-being of men improved after the program, while that of women either stayed the same or worsened. Reasons why are given.
