This article discusses the impact of recent social & cultural changes in society which the author believes are responsible for rising suicide rates — especially among adolescents. The author believes that government interference in the family has weakened the family structure, & that economic growth & technical development has made higher education levels a requirement for youth, which causes further pressure in an already vulnerable period of life.
