This document provides the results of a survey of 25 countries conducted at the 1979 International Congress regarding suicide research & prevention. Suicide rates are outlined, as well as the number of suicide prevention services per country. Opinions of national representatives on ascertainment procedures, public attitudes toward suicide, government perceptions of suicide as a public health problem, research funding, & formal profession training are detailed.
