Outcome of Suicide Attempters With Respect to Repetition: A Six-month Follow-up (IN: Current Research on Suicide and Parasuicide, ed. by S D Platt and N Kreitman)
Philippe A~~et al
This study examined the repetition of suicidal behaviour among suicide attempters within a 6-month span. The authors found a high prevalence of repetition, & identified associated risk factors, such as a low socio-cultural level, & health problems (alcoholism & mental illness) among the subjects & their relatives. An evaluation of different risk scales showed they had little value in predicting recurrence in these cases. (VM)
