Suicidal patients, especially those who have just attempted suicide, can be characterized as an unfavourable group with respect to some factors relevant to compliance to therapy. This study found that compliance of parasuicide patients depends very strongly on variables in the care system, & not just patients’ characteristics. The author suggests fixed after-care appointments, especially in problematic cases. (VM)
