This article provides a biography of Romanian poet, Paul Celan (1920-1970). He was Jewish, & both of his parents were killed by the Germans during the war. He wrote his poetry in German, & lived in France, but was accepted in neither country. Perhaps due to scars from the war, Celan committed suicide in 1970. (VM)
