Summarizes correlates of the secondary school dropout rate including retention in primary grades, home runaway history, drug abuse history, threatened suicides, & others. A fitness program emphasizing the risk factors for coronary heart disease is suggested as a way of identifying the potential dropout. This fitness counselling program uses transpersonal psychology to encourage personal responsibility for reversing heart disease risk factors.
