Focuses on psychological & physical illness experienced by doctors. Results suggest that doctors don’t use their knowledge to reduce their own mortality risk or they are exposed to hazards that cancel out such an effect. A discussion attempts to determine whether there is a specific doctor personality. Psychological manifestations of stress may include depression, suicide, alcoholism, drug dependence & marital problems. Barriers to treatment may be overcome by the impaired physician movement.
